At The Smoldering Tome, we want you to be completely spellbound by your purchase. If a book or piece of merch isn’t the perfect fit, we are here to help you sort it out.

Returns
- Eligibility Window: You have 30 days from the date of delivery to initiate a return.
- Item Condition: To be eligible for a return, items must be unused, in their original packaging, and in the same condition that you received them.
- Non-Returnable Items:
- Clearance or "Sale" items.
- Digital downloads or gift cards.
- Custom or personalized orders.
Refunds
- Inspection & Approval: Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received it and let you know if the refund has been approved.
- Processing Time: If approved, your refund will be processed immediately, and a credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment within 5 to 10 business days (depending on your bank).
Exchanges
We only replace items if they arrive defective or damaged. If you need to exchange an item for the exact same product (e.g., swapping a shirt size), please email us at thesmolderingtome@gmail.com so we can check our current inventory and guide you through the process.
Shipping Costs for Returns
- You will be responsible for paying your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable.
- We highly recommend using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance, as we cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
Damaged or Incorrect Orders: If we made a mistake or your order arrived damaged, please contact us at thesmolderingtome@gmail.com within 7 days of delivery with photos of the issue so we can ship out a replacement at no extra cost to you.
